Dear Members and Friends,

The 94th swimming season of the Rose Valley Pool ended on September 7th, Labor Day. We all celebrated this extraordinary summer and the fact that we were able to complete a full season during COVID.

There were zero reported cases of COVID at the pool facility. Staff and members all contributed to the safety of the pool environs. People were respectful and compliant with the new rules. Maximum occupancy of 75 was reached only a handful of times, and management did well handling crowds.

Flooding caused by several rain storms was contained and quickly dealt with by staff. There were no major equipment failures. Lanes were shared and laps were counted – unofficially!

Programming for kids was available in July and mostly supported by volunteers. All enjoyed the new diving board, which was springy and popular!

The grounds looked spectacular. New hydrangeas were added towards the end of August and will bloom next season. Containers overflowed with flowers and butterflies flocked to the area. Stay tuned for another email describing all the new NATIVE plantings in detail!

We will report Club Tennis Tournament results ASAP. Spectators are welcome and the updated brackets can be found here.

Thank you for your support of the Club during the 2020 season. It was truly an unforgettable summer.

More news will be forthcoming in the next few months.

Best wishes,
The Board of Directors
